The Riverside Markets were started over 20 years ago with approximately thirty Artists.
At that time the only city venues open were the cinemas and restaurants.
With the coming of Expo, in 1988, the Riverside Markets had developed into a sizeable Craft
Market winning two Tourism Awards and becoming the main attraction in the city on Sundays.

We have potters, woodworkers, glass blowers, leather workers, jewellers, artists, fashion designers, photographers, knitters, doll makers, alternative therapies, masseurs, specialty sauces, jams and spices, quality bakers, patisserie, flowers, fruit and vegetables, Aboriginal art, sculpters, metal workers and international ethnic craft.

There is always live, free entertainment provided and a relaxed, carnival atmosphere.
Many of the marketeers have been with us since the commencement of these markets.
